An interfaith prayer

Posted on Apr 30th, 2006 by Rafya : Humble in the Light Rafya

In exploring many paths, we find they all lead to the same place.  For my twin flame, the path is Catholic.  So, while counting the days, counting the little victories in recovery -each halting step, each clear word, each little ability taken for granted for 40 years that was gone in an instant now slowly returning - we prayed the St. Jude Novenas to sustain us.  Publication is part of the St. Jude Novena - to spread the message that miracles do happen every day.  This is a copy of what I published on a St. Jude's site, but I wanted to add it here.  I pray it brings comfort and hope to someone.

St. Jude,

You saw for yourself the Light and were blessed with the gift of healing. Published thanks to you caught my attention all my life. So, it was to you I turned when seeking to give hope to one everyone else thought was hopeless. Daily, we pray novenas, daily a new miracle in healing occurs. Daily, love and faith grow between us. We hold in our hearts the promise that with God's grace, we submit ourselves to the will of God in our lives, prepared to do whatever is asked of us. Our hearts are full of gratitude for your intervention, for the love of Jesus, and the gifts of the Father. Please bless us with patience as we behold the Divine unfolding in our lives. Please bless us with healing in body, heart and spirit, for we both are broken in our own way. Please help us sustain that faith that has brought us so far and given us so much. Please send your blessings to those souls who join us in prayer. May these words bring comfort to another soul in need and help them to feel the soft touch of the Lord in every hopeful thing. Yours in faith, Mischa and Bill

Poem

A Woman's Place

I bathe in the moon's light
 reflected waves caress me.
 Dancing in her rhythm
 Tied as tides silent knowing.

I rejoice in the sun's light
rising as a blossom,
following her flaming path.
Quiet and still the longer I am without her.
 Where growing is going
ever on,
 the vibrant energy
of every breathing, changing, living, praying
tiny nucleus, 'tis the only busy-ness I seek.

As the vessel through which the irrepressible,
 undeniable, unstoppable,
 relentless force of life
has roared forth to the physical plane,
 I know total submission.

With these hands I have performed
 every unclean, contaminating, servile task
to sustain the spirit in the weak, and the wounded,
soothing the shame of their lowliness.

How then can my path
 be constructed and constrained
by the words of wise men from long ago
to whom such things were merely named
then forgotten in pursuit of meaning?

Novice healer

Posted on Mar 26th, 2006 by Rafya : Humble in the Light Rafya
Hi, and thanks for stopping by.  I hope that through Zaadz I'll meet others on a spiritual journey, from all faiths and belief systems and that we may learn from each other.  My interests include healing, Judaism, meditation, chakras, soul journeys, shamanism, prayer and enlightenment.  I also like to chase calves on horseback, so don't think I'm surrounded by incense all the time!

I'm a mother, daughter, employee, friend, ex-wife, and therapist, with all the stresses and joys of each role.  My first contact with alternative healing came from a psychic nurse who interceded on our request when my mother was critically injured in an attack 20 years ago.  She told me how to connect to the healing energy and direct it into my mother.  The results were remarkable.  But I didn't really believe.  Later, I was in the military with a girl who was injured, yet required to pass a run the next day or be sent home.  I went to her when others were sleeping and tried what had worked before.  She asked me how I got my hands to vibrate like that.  I didn't feel any vibration.  She passed the run.  Still, coincidence, rational explanations were more comfortable than belief.  There are more stories, and everyone seems to experience the healing differently.

So here I am, seeking to learn and grow and accept what has been gifted to me.  I hope to hear from others who can share with me their experiences so that we may walk in the light a little more comfortably.
